Participant & Race Information

Participants

Children, youth and adults all can participate in the Delta Triathlon. There are three categories based on age*:

  • Kids of Steel Kids (ages 8-11)
  • Kids of Steel Youth (ages 12-15)
  • Adults (16+)
  Swim Bike  Run 
Kids of Steel Kids 100m (4x25m)  3.75km  1km 
Kids of Steel Youth 300m (12x25m) 7.5km 2km 
Adults  600m (24x25m) 18.5km  5km 

*Please note: ages are determined by participant age by December 31, 2020.

Relays

Relay teams are male, female, or mixed. They will be classed by oldest member. 

Paratriathletes: Please contact the Race Director to ensure the race course is acceptable.

Your race package will include your race number, safety pins, bike number, and a towel.

Note: All participants must sign a waiver prior to competing, and will be required to show photo ID. All members of relay teams must be present to receive the team's race package. You can download the waiver here, or sign at time of package pick up. If you are a TRI BC or ATA member you must show your card. If you are not a member of TRI BC or ATA, a $15.50 TRI BC day of race fee will be charged. You may only pick up your own package. 

Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure your bike is in working order and you have a properly sized helmet. There is no mandatory bike and helmet check. Please refer to the TRI BC rules and regulations for more information.
