Effective July 1, as part of Mayor George V. Harvie's Delta Families First initiative, Delta Parks, Recreation & Culture is offering a new Youth Admission Pass that will allow Delta youth between the ages of ten and eighteen to receive free admission to all Delta Parks, Recreation & Culture facilities and drop-in activities.
By replacing the current Grade Five through Eight Pass Program, the new Youth Admission Pass will encourage a greater range of youth in Delta to stay active and healthy, by way of Delta's recreation centres and programs.
Delta youth between the ages of ten and eighteen can obtain the Youth Admission Pass from the customer service office of any Delta recreation centre by presenting proof of birthdate and residency (eg. BC Services Card). The pass can be renewed annually through their eighteenth year.
Youth younger that 10 years of age, but enrolled in Grade 5, and students older than 18 years of age, but enrolled Grade 12, are eligible for the Youth Admission Pass. Proof of enrollment is required.
Students who reside in Delta but attend school in other communities are still eligible for the Youth Admission Pass.
$20 Summer Pass
The $20 Summer Pass will continue to be offered from July through August each year, and is not restricted to Delta Residency.
