The scope of this work involves the re-construction of Ladner Trunk Road from Highway 17A to 64 Street. Improvements will include the addition of: cycle lanes, sidewalk upgrades, curb and gutter, drainage improvements, watermain replacement, traffic signal upgrades, laning improvements and full pavement replacement. This is the first phase of a multi-year plan to complete upgrades on Ladner Trunk Road from Highway 17A to 80 Street.
BC Hydro independently undertook works to upgrade their transmission capacity by installing of underground ducts on Ladner Trunk Road. This work was undertaken separately and was not part of the municipal improvement project. BC Hydro's work is now complete.
- Watermain Replacement: August - November 2013
- Drainage Upgrades, Street Lighting and Curb Works: October 20, 2013 - December 20, 2013
- Roadway Construction: March 2014 - May 2014
- Final paving and roadbase reconstruction scheduled to begin May 20, 2014
All base asphalt is completed as of June 11, 2014. Crews will be preparing to start installing the final layer of asphalt during the week of June 16, followed by line painting.
All roadway construction activities are expected to be completed by June 27, 2014.
A public information meeting was held on September 19, 2012.
