Heritage Week - Sunbury Hall

Delta Heritage Week is a one week celebration that includes 2-days of festivals celebrating the many cultural heritage traditions in Delta. Come celebrate with us and learn about the ways that culture is expressed in Delta through arts, music, dance, and stories. More info about Heritage Week can be found here.

Join us Saturday, February 24 at Sunbury Hall from 10 am-5:30 pm for workshops and an evening presentation. Download the schedule here.

Capoeira Warm-Up Performance
Equal parts music, dance and acrobatics, Aché Brasil infuses the culture, traditions and music of Brazil in a spectacle of movement and color.

Capoeira Workshop
Capoeira is a Brazilian art form, which combines dance, music, and acrobatics with martial arts. Known as the secret dance of Brazil, capoeira is an astonishing display of acrobatics, breath-taking kicks and self-defence tactics performed to the music of the Berimbau (an ancient stringed bow-like instrument) and drums. Come try it for yourself in this fun-filled, high-energy workshop.
