Council Approves South Delta Business Sustainability Strategy

On July 13, 2015, Council approved the South Delta Business Sustainability Strategy, which sets an action plan for business leadership organizations, business and commercial property owners, and the Corporation of Delta to pursue the long-term viability of the South Delta business community in light of the Tsawwassen Mills and Tsawwassen Commons developments on Tsawwassen First Nation land.
Council authorized staff to work with stakeholders to start the actions outlined in the Strategy, reporting back to Council with progress updates approximately every six months.
Effective stakeholder consultation was a vital part of the development of the South Delta Business Sustainability Strategy. Throughout the project, staff and the consultant team ensured that local business owners and business leadership organizations were involved and had the opportunity to provide input.
