Our seniors recreation centres do a fantastic job of organizing a wide range of fun events and programs for young-at-heart Delta residents.
Each month, we highlight a few of these events and programs in our Recreation 50+ updates.

Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre
*Please note Kennedy will be closed on Monday, February 8 for Family Day.
Victorian High Tea with Ivan Sayers: Fashions 1837-1901
Wednesday, February 24, 2–4 pm
Renowned historian of fashion from the 1650s and beyond, Mr. Sayers has one of the most comprehensive private collections of historic clothing in Canada. This is the perfect opportunity to wear your best hats and fascinators! Ticket sales end February 17.

Delta Diggers Garden Club
Thursday, February 18, 7:30 pm
The first Delta Diggers meeting is February 18! If you are interested in gardening, please come and join us. Refreshments are served at each meeting and a donation of $2 is collected towards the cost. Enjoy another rewarding year of gardening!
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, from February to November. The club's annual membership fee of $15 is due this month – make sure you are a current member of Kennedy Seniors Centre!
Elements Casino Bus Trip
Saturday, February 27, 11 am–3 pm
Elements Casino replaces the existing Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino. It features hundreds of state-of-the-art interactive slot machines, baccarat, blackjack, roulette and poker. Visit the Diamond Buffet and receive a 50% discount on your meal, drop by the Molson Lounge for great pub food, or go to Foodies for more casual dining.

McKee Seniors Recreation Centre

Learn About Your iPad & iPhone
Saturday, February 13, 20 and 27, from 10 am–12 pm (3 sessions)
Come to the computer room for a series of lessons on how to use your iPad or iPhone. Learn which uses are recommended for your needs, and get familiar with your gadget!

Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
Thursdays, February 4 – March 10, 9:30 am–12 pm
Attend our FREE six-session workshop for adults with any kind of ongoing pain. Understand and manage symptoms, deal with stress and the emotional toll, learn to safely maintain physical activity and improve flexibility, and learn to communicate effectively with your health care team.

Eclectic Cafe with Howard Solverson
Saturday, February 20, 7–9 pm

Do you know someone who is isolated or has trouble using the regular transit system? The North Delta Seniors Bus is here to assist by offering easy access to local medical services, recreation centres, shopping locations and other community amenities.
