Delta Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) Continuing Education Grant is intended to support members of Delta’s agricultural community to enhance agriculture skills and stay informed about contemporary and changing farming practices. The grant is valued at $2,000 and is applied to a resident’s studies in agriculture or an agriculture-related field (valid for all post-secondary institutions, including colleges, universities, technical and trade school programs, or any other coursework or program related to agriculture).
Eligibility and Grant Criteria
- Resident of Delta
- Currently works in agriculture or has an agriculture-related background. Farming businesses are not eligible to apply.
- Has applied to attend a course or courses that would directly support the applicant’s career in agriculture, agricultural sciences or agri-business. This could include a wide range of programs and may include such fields as horticulture, animal husbandry, soil science, botany, etc.

- A typewritten statement describing involvement in agriculture or a related field, the reason(s) for attending the course and the expected benefit to agriculture in Delta. A resume can also be uploaded with the application.
Applications are accepted between November 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022. Deadline for applications is 4:30 pm May 9, 2022. Awards are adjudicated on a competitive basis. All approved applicants will be notified in writing by June 15, 2022.
