Spring Clean-Up is scheduled to begin on April 8, 2024. This expanded pick-up service allows eligible households in Delta to place excess or bulky items for collection. Households that receive curbside garbage collection services are eligible to participate in the program.
Collection Dates
Tsawwassen: Monday, April 8
Ladner: Tuesday, April 9
North Delta: Wednesday, April 17 (if your regular collection day is Wednesday)
North Delta: Thursday, April 18 (if your regular collection day is Thursday)
Scrap metal items must be collected separately from garbage items. Please be aware that garbage items will be collected first and that scrap metal items will be collected second, using a separate vehicle. This may result in scrap metal items being picked up at a later date than your scheduled Spring Clean-Up collection. If this occurs, please leave the metal items curbside and crews will come back to remove the materials.
For residents interested in participating in Spring Clean-Up, please review the program’s restrictions before placing items curbside.
- Material must not be placed out any sooner than the weekend prior to scheduled collection
- The amount of accepted material cannot exceed one pick-up truck load (2.5m x 1.2m x 1m)
- Oversize items are not accepted – items must be able to be handled by two people
- Loose material is not accepted – all items must be bagged or bundled
- Keep spring cleanup material separate from regular recycling and green waste materials
