The North Delta Farmers’ Market is a proud member of the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets (BCAFM), supporting local growers and makers while strengthening community connections.
What does BCAFM membership mean?
The BC Association of Farmers' Markets follows a core "Make It, Bake It, Grow It, Raise It, Wild Harvest It" policy. This ensures that everything sold at the market is produced directly by the vendor in British Columbia.
Here’s what that means:
- Grow It/Raise It: Farmers grow their own produce or raise their own livestock.
- Bake It/Make It: Artisans and bakers create their products from scratch.
- Wild Harvest It: Vendors offer responsibly foraged goods.
- No Reselling: Products must be made or grown by the vendor – no reselling allowed.
This model supports local agriculture, small businesses, and transparency, so that you can feel confident about where your good and goods come from.
