With the arrival of summer and warmer weather, the City of Delta is launching its annual Beat the Heat campaign. This educational campaign is designed to inform residents about the risks of extreme heat and provide resources and tools for staying safe—and cool—in Delta this season. Everyone is at risk for heat-related illness, but some people are more affected than others. It's vital to learn the risks and signs of heat stress and what can be done to prevent illness as temperatures increase.
To help address these risks, the Beat the Heat campaign combines local advertising and educational social media content, providing Deltans with information about City's response for heat-related events.
