The City of Delta is entering into a short-term licence agreement at the request of Bridge and Elliott Limited Partnership that will see crews utilizing a portion of the Delta-owned lot at 4940 Chisholm Street for parking while construction takes place at 4909 Elliott Street. An application for a Temporary Use Permit has been submitted to allow for the temporary use of the site for this purpose.
The duration of the licence is 6-months, allowing the lot to be in active use while the City continues the procurement process for a potential mixed-use tourist accommodation for this site. The City is currently in Round 2 of the procurement process and short-listed proponents from the Expression of Interest phase during Round 1 have until September 15, 2025 to submit a detailed proposal. The City is also undertaking a bylaw amendment process to consolidate and rezone the property to a new Mixed-Use Ladner (MUL) Zone.
