Metro Vancouver is returning the region to Stage 1 water restrictions effective September 1, remaining in place until October 15. The easing of restrictions allows residents and businesses to water their lawns once per week.
Key Changes in Stage 1
Residential: Even-numbered addresses water Saturdays; odd-numbered addresses water Sundays.
Non-residential: Even-numbered addresses water Mondays; odd-numbered addresses water Tuesdays.
Trees, shrubs and flowers: Can be watered on any day, subject to time restrictions.
Driveways, patios and other impermeable surfaces: Can be washed without restrictions.
Exempt water sources: Rainwater, grey water and recycled water are not subject to these restrictions.
