Awesome Afterschool is a licensed before and after-school care program for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Our screen-free, play-based program gives children the opportunity to stay active, build friendships, and develop important social and emotional skills through meaningful play and connection. Each day, our Licensed Program Leaders provide a variety of games, crafts, activities, and opportunities for exploration in the gym, halls, and outdoors. We focus on creating a welcoming environment where children can build confidence, practice teamwork, develop independence, and have fun while being part of a caring and inclusive community.
What schools participate in Awesome Afterschool?
South Delta Recreation Centre
We pick up and drop off at Beach Grove Elementary and South Park Elementary.
Pinewood Leisure Centre
We pick up and drop off from Pinewood Elementary.
North Delta Recreation Centre
We pick up and drop off from Richardson Elementary and Devon Gardens Elementary.
Program Days/Times
- The program is offered Monday–Friday
- Before-school care runs from 7–9 am
- After-school care runs from 3–6 pm
- We are closed on Statutory Holidays. Our program fee does not include Pro D Days, Winter Break, Spring Break, or Summer. Registration for these day camps are separate and can be done online at delta.ca/registration or over the phone at 604-952-3000.

Additional Information
- There will be paperwork that will need to be filled out prior to the program’s start.
- Students are welcome to register at any point during the year, should we still have space available.
- If your child requires support, please let us know prior to them starting the program.
- Each student should come to the program with a healthy after-school snack (please note, we maintain a nut-free environment).
- Awesome Afterschool is available to parents requiring subsidy for childcare.
