Homelessness in Delta

According to results of the Greater Vancouver 2025 Point-in-Time Homeless Count, homelessness in the Metro Vancouver region saw an increase of 9% since 2023 (5,232 people). The report shows Delta had 75 unhoused individuals, compared to 44 found in 2023. In 2025, 17 of Delta’s unhoused individuals were in some type of shelter (stayed in homeless shelters, including transition houses for women fleeing violence and youth safe houses, people with no fixed address (NFA) staying temporarily in hospitals, jails or detox facilities) and 58 were unsheltered individuals (outside or in makeshift accommodation, warming centres, vehicles or couch-surfing).
