The City of Delta, in partnership with the Delta School District, is hosting the 10th annual Battle of the Badges. This invite-only event is reserved exclusively for Delta School District students and will welcome nearly 1900 students in Grades 4-7.
Battle of the Badges is a friendly hockey game between the Delta Police Department and the Delta Fire & Emergency Services Department in support of Pink Shirt Day - an annual initiative dedicated to raising awareness and taking a stand against bullying. This year’s Pink Shirt Day theme is 'Kindness Starts Here'.
Through their roles in the community, Delta Firefighters and Police Officers regularly interact with the youth. Battle of the Badges aim to strengthen these connections by providing a positive, engaging event where students can see members of both departments as approachable role models who care deeply about their community.
