Delta's annual Free Compost Week is just around the corner!
Free Compost Week will take place from Saturday, March 8 to Sunday, March 16, 2025. Delta residents are eligible to pick up a maximum of one cubic metre of FREE compost over the duration of the weeklong event. Compost can be picked up at the City of Vancouver Landfill, located at 5400 72 Street in Delta. Proof of residency is required (e.g. driver's licence, property tax notice, utility bill).
Compost is a fantastic resource for your garden, which feeds plants and helps them retain moisture. You can spread it around the base of shrubs, trees, and perennials or rake it onto your lawn to keep your turf healthy. It can also be used to help create new garden beds!
