Delta Opens New Community Grants Application Process

The City of Delta is inviting organizations to apply for the next intake of the new Community Grants Program, created to support local organizations and initiatives that benefit the Delta community.

The financial support afforded by the Community Grants Program is meant to encourage initiatives that strengthen Delta’s community well-being; benefit residents facing social, physical, or economic disadvantages; promote volunteering, cultural understanding, or inclusivity; or partner with other service providers in the community.

“We are thrilled to be able open the application process for the Community Grants Program and provide support to some of the phenomenal groups, organizations, and events that have developed in our community,” said Mayor George V. Harvie. “These community-led initiatives are vital to establishing a vibrant, inclusive culture across Delta and the City is eager to help foster their growth.”

This new program provides $150,000 per calendar year to be distributed amongst local non-profit organizations and community groups that meet eligibility criteria set out in the policy and in support of specific projects that benefit the Delta community. Applications can be submitted for two annual intake periods. Organizations that submit their applications for this intake by January 15, 2025, will be notified of their grant status in spring 2025.
