The City of Delta, in partnership with the Kennedy Seniors Society, invites you and your family to attend the North Delta Remembrance Day Ceremony at Social Heart Plaza. This meaningful gathering brings together community members, veterans, service organizations, and youth groups to honour and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended Canada in acknowledgment of Veterans Week.

Ladner Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony

Join the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 61, for Ladner’s annual Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony. This meaningful event brings together Veterans, community members, the Delta Police Pipe Band, and local service organizations to honour and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended Canada.

The parade will begin at 10:40 am in front of the Royal Canadian Legion in Ladner Village and proceed to the Memorial Park Cenotaph for the Remembrance Day service and laying of wreaths.

No registration is required—residents are welcome to stop by at any time during the event.

Fright Fest (South Delta)

You’re in for a scare this October as Fright Fest returns to Delta facilities! Experience the terror of our Haunted Houses and enjoy story time, crafts, tasty treats, and much more for you entire family to enjoy!

The haunted house will be open from 4:30 - 8 pm.

Ladders, Lights & Loaders: City Operations Open House

For the first time ever, Delta Fire & Emergency Services, Delta Police, and Delta Engineering Operations are joining forces to bring you a free, all-ages open house packed with action, discovery, and hands-on fun. Ladders, Lights & Loaders: City Operations Open House is coming to Paterson Park on Sunday, September 21, from 10 am to 2 pm. You won’t want to miss it!

Welcoming Week: Celebrating Newcomer Voices

As part of our Welcoming Week celebrations, the Delta Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) and Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) will host Celebrating Newcomer Voices in partnership with the City on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 1 to 4 pm at the George Mackie Library. 

This free event will feature storytelling, community-building activities, and opportunities for participants to share experiences and celebrate belonging.

Bat Talk & Walk: North Delta

Come out for a night of adventure as we learn more about bats and go on a walk to see them in their natural habitat. The night will start with an hour-long presentation at George Mackie Library filled with fascinating facts. Participants will then drive themselves to Sunstone Park where we will reconvene and set out on a bat walk. During the walk, we will discuss echolocation and how to safely watch bats. Join us for an extraordinary night of bat education and fun. Please wear close-toed shoes, pants, and long sleeves for the walk.
