Come out for a night of adventure as we learn more about bats and go on a walk to see them in their natural habitat. The night will start with an hour-long presentation filled with fascinating facts. Participants will then drive themselves to Ladner Habour Park where we shall reconvene and set out on a bat walk. During the walk, we will discuss echolocation and how to safely watch bats. Join us for an extraordinary night of bat education and fun. Please wear close-toed shoes, pants, and long sleeves for the walk.

The next edition of Elliott Street Wharf features jazz/pop duo Tea for Two!

The City of Delta is proud to present the Matinee Series alongside the Vancouver Chamber Music Society. Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music by the Vancouver Cello Quartet.

Formed in 2012, The Vancouver Cello Quartet is comprised of four dedicated professionals who perform original works and arrangements for cellos.

For the fourth year in a row, the City of Delta will be participating in the City Nature Challenge. Help us to explore, discover and share the incredible biodiversity found in Delta by observing nature all around us – birds, bats, butterflies, molluscs, trees, shrubs, ferns and more!

Visit the Discovery Centre for our first ever Winter Movie Series. During the cold months of the year, we will be showing educational documentary films. For the March edition, in honour of Women's History Month, we will be showing the 1997 documentary Under the Willow Tree: Pioneer Chinese Women in Canada directed by Dora Nipp. 

Delta residents will have the opportunity to meet with members of Delta Council to discuss topics of their choice at four Council Open Houses this year. At the regular meeting on January 20, Council endorsed a plan for Council Open Houses in 2025. Scheduled for early spring and late fall, these open houses will take place prior to Regular Council Meetings in both North Delta and South Delta.

Delta residents will have the opportunity to meet with members of Delta Council to discuss topics of their choice at four Council Open Houses this year.
