Fire Safety and Prevention

Fire Safety Information and Programs

Delta Fire & Emergency Services offers multiple safety programs to promote public education. Our overriding purpose is to help children, adults, businesses and industry become more aware of fire and life safety issues, preventative measures and appropriate emergency responses.

Close the Door!

A closed door can slow the spread of fire, reduce toxic smoke levels, improve oxygen levels and decrease the temperatures dramatically – and that could make a life-saving difference in your home.

Fire Prevention Week 2022

Sunday, Oct 9 - Saturday, Oct 15

Delta Fire & Emergency Services teams up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) each year to raise awareness about fire prevention.

Home fires today can burn faster than ever, with occupants having as little as one to two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Knowing how to use that time wisely takes planning and practice.
