Notice: Glass Bottle and Jar Collection Reinstated!

With transportation challenges easing and the primary receiving facility no longer under evacuation order, Recycle BC has reinstate the collection of glass materials. As a result, the City of Delta’s regular collection services for Grey Box and Grey Bin materials has resumed!

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the suspension of glass collection.

Collection Updates due to COVID-19

There is currently no disruption to the collection of weekly garbage, recycling, and green waste.

Please help ensure Delta's collection contractor can maintain their regular collection schedule by limiting the amount of material you place at the curb for collection.

At this time, unbagged or loose garbage items will not be collected for the safety of collection crews. Please ensure all garbage, including the following items, are placed in tied bags for disposal:

  • Personal hygiene products, used tissues, sanitary wipes (even those labeled compostable or flushable), paper towels and napkins, cleaning cloths, face masks, and gloves. If you are sick or are caring for someone who is sick, please double bag all personal waste in securely tied garbage bags and dispose of as regular garbage.

To request Blue Boxes, Grey Boxes, Yellow Bags, or Collection Guides, please contact Delta Engineering at 604-946-3260 or by email.
