Join us for Youth Week activities May 1-7 throughout Delta!  Open to all youth between the ages of 13-18yrs! 

April 30 

The Amazing Race

2-4:30pm, Boys and Girls Club Hillside (North Delta), Wintemute (Ladner), and Winskill Aquatic & Fitness Centre (South Delta)

Several teams across the South and North Delta will race around the City where they will make pit stops where they complete various challenges to gather clues that will help them move forward to win the game. Event wraps up with a BBQ for all participants!

Open to Delta School District students only – register via your high school!

Youth Week Escape 2.0

3-8pm, Douglas J. Husband Discovery Centre

Teams of 6 will work together solving different clues to find the heisted museum artefact.

Join Carlee for a serene and rejuvenating experience as we embark on a journey of relaxation and renewal through the enchanting practice of a sound bath. In celebration of Youth Week, we invite all young individuals to unwind, de-stress, and connect with their inner selves in a unique and immersive way.

Join this exciting workshop, as we will learn how to create your very own Anime character. Draw from inspirations of your favourite anime shows, and learn step-by-step instructions from our talented instructor!

Youth Leadership Conference 

9am-3pm, North Delta Recreation Centre

Join us for our 4th Youth Leadership Conference in Delta. The event will feature keynote speakers DJ Barron S and Len Pierre, who will address critical issues such as mental health and violence. The event will end by celebrating the young people with a dance party led by DJ Barron S.

Meet on the Mat

2:30-5:30pm, North Delta Secondary School

Wrestling and Self-Defense Techniques & Practice Sessions - through demos, drills, games and practice, participants will learn different wrestling and self-defense techniques, including grappling and martial arts. Sessions are open to all skill levels.

Make Art – Explore Salt Watercolour Painting

2-3pm, George Mackie Library

Unlock your creativity – illustrate a simple scene of your choice, using our watercolor paints. Add salt and let the painting dry, and see the beautiful result. Meet other creative teens, connect, and share. All teens welcome, ages 13 and up. Supplies provided.

Star Wars Movie Night

6:30pm, North Delta Centre for the Arts

May the 4th be with you! Come dressed as your favourite Star Wars character to watch The Force Awakens with fellow youth and eat yummy snacks. As Yoda would say, "Have fun, you will."
