Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in Canada, combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s easy to learn, fun to play, and accessible for all ages and skill levels—making it a fantastic way to stay active and connect with the community.

The City of Delta is proud to offer a wide variety of pickleball facilities, including:

The following hourly rates apply to the rental of pickleball courts in Delta:

Book a Court

The City of Delta aims to ensure fair and equitable access to pickleball courts for both the public and organized groups. This approach helps maximize community use of the courts while also supporting organizations by providing consistent locations for scheduled play. To maintain fairness in the allocation process, any organized group wishing to use or book a court must first obtain a permit.

Rules & Etiquette

Game Time Limit: Games are played to 11 points or ~15 minutes. Drills or practice are also limited to 15 minutes during peak times.
Paddle Rack System: Use the on-site paddle rack to manage play when courts are full.
Respect and Etiquette: Maintain low volume, use appropriate language, and show good sportsmanship.
Court Safety: Do not walk through active courts. Safety glasses are recommended.
Prohibited Items: No bikes, scooters, skates, pets, food, chairs, smoking, vaping, alcohol, or glass containers.
Approved Use: Courts are intended for racquet sports only. Non-marking footwear is required.
Permits: City programs and permitted uses take priority over drop-in play.
Organized play: A permit is required for all organized play and private instruction. Only one-on-one private lessons are permitted.
Place your paddle in the next open slot when all courts are full.
Groups must consist of 2 (singles) or 4 (doubles) players. All players must be present.
Games are limited to 11 points or ~15 minutes.
Rejoin the queue by placing your paddle at the end after your game.
No “spot saving.” Paddles must represent present, ready-to-play individuals.
Singles may use designated paddle slots (e.g., 2nd and 4th).
Coaching or use of ball machines is not allowed during peak hours unless permitted.
Please avoid peak hours for repeat play to allow fair access.
Fair Play for All: Ensures everyone gets equal court time.
Builds Community: Encourages positive interaction and group rotation.
Keeps It Organized: Provides a clear, visible queue for players.

Special Note – Cromie Park (View Court Map)

If all permanent courts are in use, players may set up portable nets on the multi-use court. Once this occurs, all courts—permanent and temporary—must follow the paddle rack rotation system.

Portable nets are available in on-site storage and must be returned after use.
Pickleball Courts 11 & 12 are soft-paddle only.
Tennis Court 1 must be vacated if required by tennis players.

Facility Concerns & Reporting Issues

We are committed to maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming facilities. If you notice issues at any pickleball court or other City of Delta recreational space, we encourage you to report them.
