Community Pianos in Delta 

City of Delta is excited to continue Community Pianos in Delta. The program features painted pianos in public spaces that the community can play and also enjoy music played by trained pianists. Community Pianos in Delta are installed at Elliott Street Wharf and Diefenbaker Park seasonally.

Guidelines

  • Open to residents of Delta of all ages
  • All artworks must be original and made by the applicant
  • We only accept email submissions to culturalservices@delta.ca
  • Two artists will be chosen to each paint one upright piano
  • The deadline for submissions is the end of day Sunday, May 31, 2026
  • All submissions will be reviewed by City of Delta Staff
  • Successful artists will be contacted by Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Community Banner Contest Workshop

In this free workshop you will design and develop an original artwork for the City of Delta Community Banner Contest. The goal is to create a visually engaging banner that reflects the spirit of Delta and connects with the local community. Students will begin by brainstorming ideas based on the contest theme, exploring what makes Delta unique.

New Cultural Services Exhibits

Happiness Exhibit

The Happiness exhibit is now open! The top 10 submissions from the Culture Days Community Art Contest are currently on display at the Douglas J. Husband Discovery Centre from November 17, 2025, through April 26, 2026. The exhibit will travel to the Tsawwassen Arts Centre in May 2026 before its final display at the North Delta Centre for the Arts in September 2026.

Congratulations to the winners of the Culture Days Community Art Contest! Artists of all mediums and styles were invited to showcase their unique interpretations of “happiness” in this beautiful place we call home, Delta.
