The City of Delta has cancelled the 2022 Tour de Delta.
At the March 7, 2022 Regular Meeting, Delta Council approved the cancellation of the 2022 Tour de Delta. While the City of Delta looks forward to resuming community-wide special events, the amount of preparation and financial commitment, along with variables associated with international travel, athlete participation, sponsorship, service providers, and volunteers, were deemed too high-risk to move forward with this year’s event.
Since 2001, the Tour de Delta has brought thousands of spectators to Delta to watch cyclists from all over the world. The Tour de Delta was first cancelled in 2020 with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
