Delta residents will have the opportunity to meet with members of Delta Council to discuss topics of their choice at four Council Open Houses this year. At the regular meeting on January 20, Council endorsed a plan for Council Open Houses in 2025. Scheduled for early spring and late fall, these open houses will take place prior to Regular Council Meetings in both North Delta and South Delta.
“These open houses are a great opportunity for residents to connect directly with members of Council and for us to hear directly from the community,” said Mayor George V. Harvie. “There are many exciting projects and initiatives happening across the City. We look forward to residents attending these open houses and sharing their thoughts and ideas on what matters most to them.”
The format of the open houses will allow for multiple topics to be discussed including, but not limited to, capital projects, city initiatives, current policy, or development proposals. Interested residents can drop-in at any of the following events at their convenience and no registration is required.
Council Open House Schedule
- March 3: North Delta Recreation Centre, Gymnasium (4:30 pm to 6:00 pm)
- March 10: Delta City Hall, Foyer (4:30 pm to 6:00 pm)
- October 29: North Delta Recreation Centre, Gymnasium (4:30 pm to 6:00 pm)
- October 30: Delta City Hall, Foyer (4:30 pm to 6:00 pm)
The purpose of these events is to engage in conversation with Council. Residents interested in providing formal feedback on City projects or initiatives are encouraged to participate in the planned or ongoing engagement processes as feedback for projects will not be collected at the Council Open House events.
