What’s Happening

I am going to take a class at the Recreation Centre. I will learn a new skill, participate in some activities and meet new people.

Who

My instructors or coaches will help me and keep me safe. 

There will be other children in the class, too.

Steps

  1. Arrive and check in.
  2. Put my belongings in a specific spot.
  3. Join in the activities
  4. Listen to my instructor or coach for direction and when it’s time to change activities.
  5. At the end of the class, my parent/guardian will pick me up.

Sensory Expectations

Classes can be loud and busy with other children. 

Sometimes the lights are bright. 

Some rooms can echo. 

Sitting or standing still to listen to directions and watch demonstrations can be challenging.
