Garbage/Recycling Collection During Snowfall and Statutory Holidays

• Collection during Snowfall

  In the event of hazardous conditions due to snow and ice, garbage and recycling collection may be delayed. If this occurs and your regular collection time is missed:

  • The contractor will attempt to make the collection later that day or the following day. Please ensure your containers are not buried in the snow.

  • If the contractor is not able to access your garbage/recycling containers, they will be collected on your next scheduled collection day.

• Collection during Statutory Holidays

  Following a statutory holiday, garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week only; regular collection days will resume the following week. For example: if Monday is a statutory holiday, Monday collection will be moved to Tuesday, Wednesday collection will be moved to Thursday, and Thursday collection will be moved to Friday.
