How to Pay

Pay City of Delta through telephone banking, online banking or in person. It is important to keep your receipt as proof of payment may be required.

• Utilities – Use your 5 digit account number located on the top of your bill (eg. ACCT NUMBER: XXXXX)
• Property Taxes – Use your 9 digit folio number located on the front of your notice (eg. FOLIO NUMBER XXX-XXX-XX-X)

Mail your cheque payable to "City of Delta" along with the bottom portion of your bill to City of Delta, 4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, BC V4K 3E2. Envelopes must be postmarked by Canada Post either on or before the due date to avoid a penalty.

Outside the entrance to City Hall at 4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent, there is a mail slot available 24 hours. At the east entrance of the North Delta Recreation Centre at 11415 84 Avenue, there is a drop box available 24 hours.

Pay your property taxes and utilities through deltaonline.ca with your Visa or MasterCard. A convenience fee of 1.75% will be added to your payment amount to offset the service fees Delta incurs to provide this payment option. Please note, credit card payments for property taxes or utilities are not accepted in person at City Hall.

Pre-authorized withdrawals enables residents to:

• Prepay next year's property taxes and flat rate utilities
• Set up automatic monthly transfers from your bank account
• Earn interest calculated using the Royal Bank of Canada prime-lending rate, less 4%

The annual Flat Rate Utility Bill and the Property Tax Notice will show a balance that represents the current year's charges, less any installments and interest earned. Property owners are responsible for paying the balance, by the appropriate due date.

To sign up, or if you currently have a pre-authorized withdrawal in place and your bank information has changed, please complete a new Pre-Authorized Withdrawal Form and submit it to the Taxation Office at taxation@delta.ca.

Set up automatic payment of metered utility bills from your bank account. Please complete an Auto Debit Application Form and submit it to the Taxation Office at taxation@delta.ca to start automatic debit for future bills. Any metered utility bills currently due must be paid by the due date.

The due date for this year's property taxes is July 2, 2024. A 5% penalty will be applied to all accounts with outstanding balances after July 2, 2024. An additional 5% penalty will be levied to all accounts with outstanding balances after September 3, 2024.

Metered utilities are billed quarterly with full payment due by the last day of the month following the date of billing. If the last day of the month falls on a weekend, the due date is the first business date thereafter. Below is a list of quarterly billing periods and respective payment due dates:
