Dog Licence

Description

A dog licence helps protect your pet by providing an easy-to-identify dog tag and registration with the Delta Community Animal Shelter.

In many cases, if your dog is wearing the licence the dog can be returned home instead of having to come to the shelter. If your pet is lost anywhere in the world, the fastest way to be reunited with your dog is by this dog tag and the licence!

Buy Yours Online

Due to COVID-19, please note that we are encouraging Delta dog owners to obtain their 2022 dog licence tags using the City of Delta’s online portal: deltaonline.ca. It is the most efficient and contactless way to pay.

You will need your dog licence account number, which can be obtained from your renewal notice. If you have misplaced your renewal form, have a new dog, or require updates to your account (address, moved, pet deceased, etc) please email taxation@delta.ca and we will assist accordingly.

For those without access to a computer or a Visa/MasterCard, there are some other options available:

MAIL (by cheque only – do not mail cash):
Mail a cheque payable to "City of Delta" and the bottom portion of the renewal notice in an envelope to City of Delta, 4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, BC V4K 3E2. Your tag(s) will be mailed to you.

DROP BOX (by cheque only – do not deposit cash):
Drop boxes are available 24 hours outside the entrance of City Hall (4500 Clarence Taylor Cres) and at the east entrance of the North Delta Recreation Centre (11415 84 Ave). Put a cheque payable to "City of Delta" and the bottom portion of this notice and in an envelope and drop in a drop box. Your tag(s) will be mailed to you.

IN PERSON:
Dog licences, including aggressive dog licences, may be purchased in person by appointment at the Delta Community Animal Shelter (7505 Hopcott Road). While we accept all payment types excluding Amex, we encourage a contactless option (Visa/MasterCard/Debit)
