Recently, Delta Council confirmed its new appointments to the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors.
The City of Delta holds six votes on the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors. Due to regulations, these votes are split evenly between two directors so each of Delta’s appointees will hold three votes.
Effective February 1, 2022, Council has approved the following appointments:
- Director: Mayor George V. Harvie
- Director: Councillor Jeannie Kanakos
- Alternate: Councillor Bruce McDonald
- Alternate: Councillor Dylan Kruger
In addition, Sav Dhaliwal, Chair of the Metro Vancouver Board, makes appointments to Metro Vancouver committees. Mayor Harvie has been appointed as Chair of the George Massey Crossing Task Force and Vice Chair of the Performance and Audit Committee in addition to appointments to serve on three other committees.
