On June 1, 2023, Delta Fire Chief Guy McKintuck sent a letter to residents regarding mitigating fire risk in Delta. As British Columbia is experiencing longer hot seasons, warmer year-round weather, and more drought, the province has seen an increase in the number and size of wildfires.
