The City of Delta is moving forward with the 56 Street Sanitary Sewer Upgrades, scheduled to begin in Winter 2025. This infrastructure upgrade is a necessary investment that will increase the sanitary sewer capacity along 56 Street to support current and future growth in Tsawwassen.
Impacts to Residents
A new PVC sanitary main will be installed to replace the current system along 56 Street from 16 Avenue to View Crescent, through View Crescent, and back along 56 Street from View Crescent to 12 Avenue. Please refer to the map for more details.
To minimize disruptions during construction, the City will implement the following measures:
- Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.
- Most work along 56 Street will take place at night to reduce traffic impacts.
- Two-way traffic and driveway access will be preserved wherever possible.
