Learn to Skate Programs
Learn to Skate programs are available for all ages, from preschool to seniors. Take a look at the available programs below:
Learn to Play Hockey
These programs are designed to teach hockey skills to the beginner. Participants will review skate skills, stick & puck handling and learn how to put plays into the game. Participants should be able to skate and stop to fully benefit from this program. These programs are non-contact and full equipment is mandatory.

Delta will be hosting a variety of registered public swimming opportunities and swimming lessons at Winskill Aquatics and Fitness Centre, Ladner Leisure Centre, and Sungod Recreation Centre.
From babies to senior and beginners to advanced swimmers, there are plenty of programs available to improve your comfort and skills in the water. Take a look at some of the programs we have below:

Awesome Afterschool is a licensed before- and after-school care program offered at South Delta Recreation Centre and Pinewood Leisure Centre.
Playtime is a structured program for preschool-aged children.
New parents and their babies are invited to attend a FREE 2-hour information session with a public health nurse!
In-person Cultural Services programming returns to Delta Parks, Recreation & Culture Facilities this fall!. From drama, fine arts, and music, we have plenty of opportunities for you to learn something new, hone your craft, or perform in front of others.

Parks, Recreation & Culture offers a wide range of fitness options, designed for all ages and abilities. Our goal is to encourage an active lifestyle by providing a variety of fitness opportunities.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, patrons will be required to reserve their spot for all weight room sessions and fitness classes.

Drop-in Weight Room Sessions
All patrons must reserve their weight room sessions before arriving at the facilities. Upon checking in at the front desk, patrons will be prompted to pay drop-in rates or provide the relevant facility pass. Please reserve your weight room timeslot:
Weight Room Orientation
This free, 15-minute orientation is available for patrons 13 years old and up, and includes a guided tour of the weight room, as well as a review of weight room etiquette and code of conduct.
Youth 13-15 years old are required to complete an orientation during fist registered weight room session. A completed Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ+) form signed by parent or guardian is required to participate in registered session 48 hours prior to session start time.

Recognizing the need for unstructured play opportunities, Delta has multi-purpose gymnasiums are located in both North and South Delta that house several registered and drop-in sports and gymnasium programs.
